Our Sunday services center on the Holy Eucharist. They include readings from the Old and New Testaments, psalms, prayers, a sermon, and Holy Communion. Absolutely everyone in attendance is invited to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion, although there is no pressure to do so.
We love and celebrate the uplifting language of Scripture. The glorious architecture of our sanctuary, designed by renowned architect Bertram Goodhue, enhances our worship. Preaching is rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, joyful, challenging, personal and relevant to our everyday lives and struggles. There is a coffee hour after services each Sunday.
Our 8:30 Sunday service is a spoken service without music. The 10:30 service includes organ music, hymns and anthems. We use a wide variety of music both ancient and contemporary. The St. John's-Grace Choir sings at the 10:30 service from September through June.

Though grounded in timeless ritual, services at St. John's-Grace are informal, friendly, and full of good humor.
