Welcome!

Welcome to St. John's-Grace! We're on Colonial Circle at Richmond and Lafayette in Buffalo, NY, at the center of the beautiful old residential neighborhood of Buffalo's Upper West Side. Our members come from all over the Buffalo area. Join us for a wonderful and welcoming church experience.

We are an inclusive church

St. John's-Grace is a very diverse church. Our congregation includes members who were brought up in many different traditions: Episcopal, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist, and others. We welcome all people as members regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation, and all ministries are open to anyone. On Sundays, Holy Communion is offered to absolutely everybody. Our members represent a wide variety of experiences and interpretations of the Christian Faith. We revel in this spiritual diversity. (View our Affirmation of Faith).

Exciting and friendly

Experience the glorious architecture of our sanctuary, uplifting music both ancient and contemporary, and preaching which is joyful, challenging, personal and relevant to your daily life and struggles. Join us for coffee hour after services each Sunday. Though grounded in timeless ritual, our services are informal, friendly, and full of good humor.

Your struggles are valued

At St. John's-Grace, people who have struggled with belief and doubt, divorce, abuse, illness, chemical dependency, and bigotry are valued for the depth of wisdom and compassion that can grow from these experiences.

Come and see

When the disciples asked Jesus, "Where are you staying?" Jesus replied, "Come and see." We also invite you to come and see! Join us any Sunday morning for services, or come on any weekday morning. Or call the office at 885-1112 between 9:00 a.m and 1:00 p.m. on weekdays and speak with our church secretary or with Rev. Phil Dougharty.

You are always welcome!
