Lenten Soup & Program Series
Episcopal Partnership for Mission and Outreach
6:30 – 8:00 pm
Wednesdays February 29-March 28
There are changes in Episcopal Community Services (ECS).
The name and nature of the organization is now Episcopal
Partnership for Mission and Outreach (EPMO).
The fund-raising campaign for EPMO is moving from Lent to Easter.
In preparation for our participation we are dedicating our
Lenten Suppers this year to finding out about these changes and how they can
enhance our relationships with our ministry partners.
On Feb. 29 the Rev. Deacon
Steve Lane, President of EPMO will be with us to explain the changes and how we
may take advantage of them. On March 7 and 21 Cathy Riely-Godard,
Executive Director of Concerned Ecumenical Ministries (CEM) will be with us to
talk about some of CEM's programs in which we are already involved: STAR and
Loaves and Fishes. On March 14 Marcia Buhl will talk about Church Mission
of Help, which is located in our neighborhood. One other to-be-announced
representative from one of our partners will round out the series on March 28.
Please join us. We
meet around 6:15 with supper at 6:30. We are away by 8:00, so it is not a
late night.

Salt
Shakers
Groups
of 5 or 6 are encouraged to meet for Dinner at one another’s homes or in the
Church dining room for an informal chance to get to know one another. These groups are encouraged to meet about
once a month.
Dinner
is arranged by a host who assigns which dishes the participants might bring to
the meal. These groups of 5 or 6 are also encouraged to invite additional
members of the congregation to dinner thereby enlarging the number of members
“getting to know” one another.
